To create joyful learning experiences, my philosophy as an educator is to partner with happy families, raise happy children, and work together with happy teachers. Being in the Early childhood industries for nearly two decades, I learned that children learn best when they are in a happy and positive environment.
Here in My First Skool at Boon Lay Community Centre, we believe parents and communities play crucial roles in enhancing children’s positive learning experiences. Parents’ involvement in their child’s education, from showing interest in their academic progress to participating in school activities, greatly impacts a child’s attitude towards learning. Effective communication between teachers and parents fosters a supportive environment that reinforces learning both at home and in school.
I believe that communities also contribute by providing additional resources to support children’s positive learning. We have successfully maintained close working relationships with various community partners to support the holistic development of the children in the centre.
I am looking forward to the growth and learning opportunities in the early childhood sector in this integrated community where we continue to not only nurture the next generation of active and curious learners but also happy and positive citizens in the future.
