I have been an early childhood leader for 15 years and currently I hold a Bachelor of Art in Childhood and Family education.
I strongly believe that ‘Every child is gifted; they unwrap their packages at different times.’ Children will be blooming when we provide them with activities that are planned to help them learn in meaningful context.
I encourage and support my teachers to be proactive facilitators. I work with my teachers to empower children to be purposefully engaged in the centre at all times. Involving my staff in intentional training programmes aligned to their learning needs analysis builds the staff’s professional knowledge, confidence and experience.
Parents play an invaluable role in their children’s progress and development. With positive parent partnership in a series of planned activities and events planned throughout the year, parents understand our curriculum better and they are willing to co-operate in their child’s learning.
Our centre is the pioneer centre that offers Tamil language to the children from Nursery to Kindergarten 2 children. Our centre has attained the certification award of the Singapore Preschool Accreditation Framework in 2016 with progress in teaching and learning. In March 2019, we cleared the developmental visit assessment by ECDA. This is an endorsement of the centre’s continuous effort to provide quality care and programme.
