Graduated as an ECDA scholar with Masters of Education (NIE), I have been in the early childhood education sector for 11 years and a Principal in My First Skool. I strongly believe in building children’s resilience so that they can face future adversities. A confident child is one who can take on challenges and learn from failures.
I also place importance in developing empathetic children who respects and understands the importance of putting themselves in others perspective. These are character traits that are essential for our children so they can embrace diversity wherever they go in the future.
Having achieved SPARK Commendation certification for our centre, we also built strong partnership with NTUC Health and is actively engaging our children to interact with the elders at NTUC Silvercare with our weekly intergeneration programme.
Furthermore, we believe in cultural diversity and embracing differences, making cultural learning relevant and interesting to children with the integration of technology.
I am a true believer of lifelong learning and that with education, like how Robert Heinlein puts it when one teaches, two learn. This spurs me to go beyond so I can achieve greater and more meaningful experiences for the children and families under my care.
