After achieving a Diploma with Merit in Early Childhood Education, I joined My First Skool and started out as a preschool teacher. With my passion of growing with the younger ones and to improve my teaching and learning practices, I furthered my studies and received a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.
I always believe learning never stops as there is so much more to learn. Under the strong motivational support from My First Skool, I took on different programmes such as Certificate in Early Childhood Education Leadership and Professional Development Programme to be better able to support the children and my colleagues.
Preschool years are important years for the children as it sets the foundation for them. Together with my passionate and committed educators and staff, we play an important role and continue to nurture and support our children in their learning and development.
Families are the primary influence of the children’s early years. Thus, we believe in partnering and working together with parents in our children’s learning and development. These strong partnerships with parents allow us to gain more information and provide the necessary support and experiences for the benefit of our children.
Children also learn beyond the classroom, where we work with different community partners such as NTUC Health, National Library Board and Health Promotion Board to provide opportunities for children to learn and gain knowledge about the world around them.
Through the different meaningful learning experiences and partnerships with families and community, we will continue to strive to provide quality education for the children under our care, which will follow them throughout their life!
