I hold a bachelor’s degree of Science in Early Childhood Education. I strongly believe in the importance of active parental involvement and holistic teaching approach. My passion for children’s learning and child advocacy began 32 years ago. I start off as a teacher, teaching various age groups. I am a leader for the past 17 years.
In My First Skool I am given the opportunities to go for learning journeys to New Zealand, Melbourne Australia and Bali Indonesia to widen my perspectives on how I can be creative and inculcate nature in our curriculum. I am also the Families and Communities Ambassador and Graduation Concert Cluster Lead, giving advices and mentoring our cluster Principals.
I’ve built strong partnership with parents and communities. I engaged parents in varieties of our school activities and collaborated with various community partners.
Under my leadership together with my team of educators we have a few achievements which we gain through our team effort. We achieved SPARK accreditation from ECDA. We successfully completed projects from ECDA such as Innovation Guidance Project and Practitioner Inquiry Project. We embarked on collaboration project with Playmaker, Space Re-design and Intergeneration Project.
I believe that being a good leader one must be a good listener too. A good leader grows leader. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.
