My experience in the early childhood industry since 2012 has given me opportunities to work with families and like-minded educators to nurture and care for children. In my role as an educator and a leader, I cultivate children’s interest and love for learning, hence nurturing independent and confident life-long learners.
To better develop my skills as an educator and a leader, I believe in constantly upskilling. As Loris Malaguzzi says, “Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. Through an active, reciprocal exchange, teaching can strengthen learning how to learn.”
I recognise the importance of instilling grit and resilience in children as they overcome new challenges every day. Thus, I believe in being intentional when planning learning opportunities to develop children holistically.
Partnering families, like-minded educators and community partners, I firmly espouse the belief that nurturing the growth of the children is a collaborative effort. Hence, I strive to create a safe and supportive learning environment that supports children in achieving their fullest potential, in their journey of lifelong learning.
