My First Skool at Blk 222C & 223 Bedok North Drive
I have been in Early Childhood Education since 2000. Possessing the passion to nurture young children and to ignite their interests for knowledge keeps me learning and growing in this industry. I joined NTUC First Campus in 2014. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work with novice to proficient teachers and I believe in professional development for them. Under my leadership, I groomed teacher leaders to effectively lead others in building up strong pedagogy skills for teaching young children. I always affirm to: “leaders become great not because of their power but because of their ability to empower others”. Indeed, empowering others is very powerful in professional development. These teacher leaders were empowered to develop self’s professionalism and also in nurturing future leaders like them.
As an Early Childhood Educator, I hold the strong belief that children’s learning has no limitations. Educators play an important role in children’s learning efficacies. Other than the teachers’ teaching capabilities, the environment also acts as a 2nd ‘teacher’ in enhancing children’s learning. Last but not least, we will also work closely with the parents and various community partners such as old folks home, primary schools and more. Community partners are the 3rd ‘teachers’ to help to inculcate good values which we may not be able to learn through the school’s environment alone.
