I started my Early Childhood Educator’s journey in year 2009 and I am currently leading My First Skool at Blk 187 Bedok North. I strongly believe that children are curious and exploratory individuals and they learn best through hands-on experiences. It is therefore important, that our Early Childhood Educators plan and provide valuable opportunities and space for our young children to learn and explore.
I was given the opportunity to embark on a Learning Journey to 2 Japanese pre-schools in 2019. This experience opened my eyes, ears and heart on the different perspectives of child development and the importance of allowing children the space and confidence to interact with their peers and their environment.
I am fortunate to be able to work with my team of teachers with varied experiences and talents and together, we create a safe, enriching and fun environment for our children in the centre. We are committed to scaffold our children’s learning and thinking and watch them grow into confident and active learners. Seeing our children enjoying their learning and interaction with others around them inspire and motivate us to continuously plan for fun and engaging activities in school.
Since the opening of our centre on 15th March 2019, we have established partnerships with the community partners around our neighbourhood such as the NTUC Silver Circle, National Library Board and Bedok North Neighbourhood Police Post. We look forward to work closely with our families and the community partners to further enrich our children’s learning experiences.
