I hold a Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood (Teaching and Leadership) and a Master in Education (Early Childhood). I embarked on early childhood education as a mid-career switch and have never looked back since then. With more than a decade of experience in this field, I hope to continue pursuing my passion and create a significant impact on the children and families I work with.
Every child is a unique individual with his/her own strengths and capabilities. It is therefore our role as early childhood educators to respect and nurture them to their full potential in their early years. Children flourish in a safe environment where they need to feel secure and confident to explore happily. With that, providing an environment that ensures the safety and well-being of the children is my top priority.
In this VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world, I see the importance of helping children acquire soft skills and a growth mind-set in order for them to be resilient and successful in the future. I also strongly believe in character building where children learn important values such as empathy and respect, and be able to embrace differences and diversity in the world around them.
As a centre leader, I see myself as a compass who “knows the way, goes the way and shows the way” –John Maxwell. I take pride in leading my team with trust and respect to provide quality education and care for your children. Together with my team at My First Skool 106 Henderson Crescent, I look forward to establishing effective and meaningful collaborations with parents and community partners to provide a holistic learning experience for the children.
