Things To Do
Given the hectic lifestyle many Singaporeans lead, it can sometimes be challenging for parents to dedicate time for quality family bonding activities. But your time is one of the greatest things you can share with your child.
So if you have been thinking about spending some quality family time with your child, why not take some time off work to bond with your child after pre-school? What’s more, you need not jostle with the weekend crowd!
However, you may have this question pop into your mind, “What are some fun activities to do with my child?”. Well, the answer, as it turns out, is plenty, especially if you stay in Sengkang or Punggol.
These non-mature estates are popular among young families. This is evidenced by the various family-friendly amenities cropping up throughout the North-East – just take a quick look at the number of pre-schools in Sengkang and Punggol!
Perhaps this is why these estates have garnered a reputation as one of the most family-friendly neighbourhoods in Singapore. So as you fetch your child from their pre-school in Punggol or Sengkang, here are the top family activities you can consider doing close to home.
Activity #1 – Prawning at Hai Bin Prawning
Hai Bin Prawning is located near Riviera LRT station, so your family need not worry about travelling a fair distance from the LRT. Another good news is that the establishment is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Your family can take the time to pick up your child from their pre-school in Punggol and head home to prepare before heading down.
With some bait and a little patience, you and your family can have a taste of the fruits of your labour, as there are barbecue pits located onsite for everyone to try their hands at grilling the prawns they have caught. Salt and seasoning are also provided for those looking to add a little oomph to their meal.

If your child enjoys swimming, why not take them down to Splash @ Kidz Amaze and make a splash! As one of the largest indoor water parks in Singapore, the whole family will never run out of things to do for the entire day.
The best part? It is indoors (no need to worry about these pesky UV rays) and only a 2-minutes walk from the nearest LRT station – Sam Kee LRT station. There is no need to fret about the travel time after picking your child up from their preschool in Punggol.
