Blk 541 Ang Mo Kio

I am currently leading My First Skool at Blk 541 Ang Mo Kio as an acting Principal. I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead a school – of a capacity of 81 childcare children and 20 infants – with a strong belief in the holistic development of children.

I have been dedicated in this field for more than ten years. Being an early childhood leader is more than just a career, it is a life-long journey of viewing the world from the lens of a child.

As an educator and a mother myself, I strongly believe “one size fits all” method does not work for every child as every child is unique. We need to be able to adjust our teaching methods to suit our children’s learning styles and needs. This is in line with our mission, “to fulfil the promise of each child”, allowing them to learn and grow at their own pace.

Our centre strongly believes in building partnership with families and community to develop our children holistically. We plan various parental activities such as take-home kits and parental engagement activities to let parents witness how learning occurs in our centre.

We also partner with various community partners such as NLB, ActiveSG, and COMNET to plan for children’s learning beyond the classroom. With all of these, we hope our children will grow up to be joyful and confident learners.
